Really? The place is all but dead. Some days no stories get posted, some maybe one or two. I thought I would try and get some activity going and see if the place can be brought back from the brink of death.

This place is not "on the brink of death", it's our own cheerful corner of the Internet, where we, for the most part, talk about our hobbies, projects, and holidays, and whatever else is going on in our lives.

Your approach has been to largely ignore that, and post a series of news articles with a clear agenda, trying to get people to agree with you. You don't engage with the rest of the community, or comment on other stories or posts, it's all about you.

You want to “talk about your hobbies, projects, and holidays, and whatever else is going on in your life” on /c/politics? I think OP is doing what needs to be done by posting relevant content to the correct community, or did I miss something?

Sorry mate, but I don't agree with this. If content isn't created the community will slowly die. Perhaps you just want to chat in the daily korero threads, but that doesn't mean everyone else feels the same. I'm glad someone is posting content, even if I don't agree with it.

He's not "creating" anything, spamming links at the community takes zero creative effort.

Besides, it's an issue of quantity, it wouldn't be so bad if he stuck to one per day.

I'd prefer to see more posts than 3 daily korero in a row and nothing new for days. I'll take one guy posting news over nothing.

It looks like an abandoned town to me. How many posts are there per day? how many comments? I post political stuff in politics. You can post things yourself if you want.

I think your wrong here bud. Balpeen does engage and adding news on what seem like the biggest stories of the week is desirable.

There is room for light hobbies content and news.

To be fair, this is the forum to talk about many blood-sucking parasites, also known as poly-ticks.
