They won't even say the pledge of allegiance with their dad. That's the level of disrespect children have these days.

you ought to lock them in their room and not feed them until they recite the pledge 100 times.

ought to teach them to appreciate the sacrafice our founding fathers made for us

The pledge is a family event. I'd never use it as a punishment. It's just something we say before special moments.
