Yeah this is the stupidest way to do this.

All it does is encourage employers to drop pharmacare from their benefits, because why would you pay for something the government just said they'll pay for but only if you drop it?

And then for people who do make more than the cutoff it's a triple whammy, paying for yourself, and then paying taxes to support everyone else and the burden corporations just shed themselves of.

It's a gift for the poor and corporations, and totally fucks over the upper middle class.

The whole thing is simpler with universal coverage.
