The way i figure prolly spain, britain or usa by absolute numbers has passed it some time ago. You can divide church failings in like "shit church started", "shit church blessed" "shit church closed its eyes to". Past 17th century colonialism was self fueling, and didn't need "bringing the good word" fig leaf
