Maybe because their free college line is full of BULLSHIT. Your taining may or may not (more likely not) tranfer as credits. Oh you're not serving 10 years? No free college 4 U.

Ok maybe 2 years, but you'll have to jump through hoops every single month. Phone in to the mothership. Keep grades up. Proove every thing over and over and over and over and over again. Document ad nauseum everything. And everyone knows 2 year degrees mean jack shit so you're on your own for the rest - SUCKER!

Oh certain colleges only. Here's a list of schools who do the program (crap crap crap mehhh crap is going bankrupt or non existant in 4 years so their degree is worthless but you don't know that yet.)

Unless you're an officer getting recruited at a state college and then IF IF IF you're lucky or fancy enough to make the officer program and commit 10 years on top of the 4 years (and they will pay for the whole bachelor's....minus some important things but mostly) but you wouldn't be applying to fancy college if you weren't already in a situation where you can spend big bucks or a legacy / nepobaby.

My veteran benifets after 6 years was JACK SHIT. I mean here's 10% off Lowes. Oh boy! The VA? Oh hai our nearest location is 45 minutes away. We need you to register and someone will get back to you within a week if you're accepted DO NOT RE-APPLY if you don't hear from us. Ok lets see what thia application process thingy is - 3 hours and 10 website fuck ups and digging into papers over a decade old (I'm glad I'm a data hoarder). OKAYTHXBAI! 7 weeks later.....here's you're welcome package acknowleding your registrarion with the VA. No phone call. No preliminary appointment. Nothing.

Yeah and that's a taste of why people know veterans benifets are full of shit and the younger gen who had veteran parents go through this and hear it from their friends also know it's bullshit. That's on top of all the bullshit immoral crap our so called "defense" arm does being litterally The Empire we revolted against.

Will say this though - TRICARE - was ok. I would like to see a national program rolled out modeled after that. It was mostly for family members on base while you serve and get the "here's an aspirn STFU get back to work" care.
