As a gen X I resent the fact that a comedy icon from my childhood has become a nasty ignorant old lady who openly supports a literal child rapist and shits on younger people for an insane economy that is not their fault.
I was heartbroken when I learned that Guillermo Del Toro signed a petition to have Polanski pardoned. These Hollywood people live on another planet, one where being a child molester isn't a deal breaker for them. Another example being Victor Salva, who repeatedly raped a child but was still getting jobs long after his conviction
Yeah it's a pretty hideous barometer of people's moral compass.
That’s the thing. I wouldn’t be disappointed to hear Tucker Carlson saying something like that. I mean, it’d probably count as the nicest thing he’s said all season. Same with whatever that Fox version of the view is.
But Whoopi used to have heart.
What we need is a vaccine for affluenza.
Ikr? She used to be fucking brutal ripping into the kind of bullshit she now says seriously.
She was less of a jackass when she started on the view though. Everyone that hosts on that damn thing turns into a moron eventually. The ones that start as morons get worse, but still.
I still remember that bobbleheaded dunderwhelp Elisabeth Hasselbeck. I don't remember anything in particular she said on the show, but my head cannon is that she was never without a finger in her nose and a thumb up her ass.
