i think f1nn5ter doing trap jokes irl and going "AHA, YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A GIRL BUT IT WAS ACTUALLY ME, A MAN!" is not great. i mean, i don't watch his stuff and i assume that isn't all of what he does, but it is at least how he chooses to advertise a lot of his videos*, and it's like. the fundamental premise of his content. i absolutely respect his right to do whatever he wants with his presentation, but i feel like if he were to actually say "ok i'm a woman, she/her, etc" he would lose most of his following. maybe i'm wrong and i'm just bitter, idk
*these suck
yeah i get the feeling his mods/editors keep pushing this stuff and he just rolls with it plus literal chasers/fetishes just lavishing him with money
the actual content has nothing to do with the thumbnails/descriptions it's mostly just slice of life stuff
edit, left some stuff out: the good to come of this is seeing a transwoman just be in a normal but also queer relationship with a gender nonconforming guy. which is something at least. so launching ashley's social media career as a trans educator is also pretty positive. her videos are great for baby trans she has a really good casual way of presenting stuff
i think that's fair but like, i reserve the right to hate him for seeking out and encouraging that audience
totally cool. i recognize my feelings are purely parasocial
