Jung said that Freud was like a mentor to him in that he wanted to extract his ideas, but never really challenged him because he was a kind of guy who would flip the f out. Kind of stuck in his world view stemming from a single idea with no way to alter or challenge it. He was really fucking adamant on this shit unironically.
