Citations Needed honestly really helps me understand the importance of "media literacy". Not like understanding the nature of a narrative or anything like that, but more so being able to read and parse media narratives/message. Their critical eye on journalism has been a boon for me. I wouldn't have found FAIRwithout this podcast.
I mean honestly half of it is just academic writing/reading, media asserts tons of shit without proper citations or citations are [it came to me ~~in a dream~~ in a raytheon funded think tank].
Are houthi iranian-backed? who the fuck knows. Is genocide in gaza "war between israel and hamas"? hamas is paramilitary organization of a non-state actor, cause palestine is not even recognized as a state (although usa have rich history declaring wars without declaring them, or fighting abstract things). Is effective altruism effective or altruism - the answer to both is no, so what the fuck
