have you tried rewasd? I personally dont have a ps5 controller but it works well for remapping my controllers even with their weird input methods. you should be able to remap your ps5 controller to be detected as any other controller (such as xbox 360). biggest downside is it's not free, I paid for it but iirc there is a crack floating around for it.
I've never heard of it, may check it out. Technically ds4windows is supposed to tell my PC the same thing but games just don't care half the time.
