I vaguely remember seeing some discussion on the Great Red Spot's visible shrinking but that it spans much deeper into Jupiter and the shrinking could just be the upper layer. Still, I believe the Great Red Spot has been going for hundreds of years since our earliest records mention it as well.

Yeah! It's amazing how Jupiter's winds can be so turbulent and yet stay somewhat uniform for so long a time
