All I do is dust the wall,. Get a bucket of warm soapy water and a textured cloth. Wring it out and start at the bottom of the wall, working up. Dry as I go with an old flannel.

That's pretty much what I did, except I started at the top and worked down.

The reason you start at the bottom is so that any drips you have don't leave streaks down the wall which can be a bugger to fix sometimes.
