Now I want to see this guy throwing shrimp soil into an instapot sicko-instapot

Also shrimp...soil? Shrimp need soil? Special soil? Are shrimp worms? What is a shrimp now I feel like I don't know

Shrimp varieties that are kept as pets are usually sensitive to pH changes and most shrimp substrate is made of inert material that won't affect the pH levels of the water.

Cherry shrimps are so hardy, I kept them in my tanks and they multiplied like crazy and I was able to sell them to my local fish shop. I tried my hands on those crystal red shrimps (those red and white ones), they are the ones that are really sensitive because they are so inbred. I got them to berry (carry eggs) and had a few shrimplets, then they all died on me in a few days lol

Gotcha, I've never had shrimp but was looking into getting Sulawesi shrimp a few years ago because they're very pretty.

Close, it buffers the soil and makes it slightly acidic (for a few years at least, mine is starting to slowly go to 7.0)

Shrimp soil is usually made of little balls of peat that buffer the soil Ph and making it slightly acidic as a some freshwater shrimp prefer that environment.
