Ugh the Rangers game tonight is going to brutally fuck my Circadian rhythm. Hopefully there are a few cafés near the arena so I can ~~refill my bloodstream~~ grab some coffee to stay awake when my alarm goes off at 03:30.
UK here. I've given up trying to watch the games live, and usually just do them in the morning, assuming my kids/job allow for it.
Does mean I rarely get the whole experience of watching live with others though.
How'd you pick the Caps then, if you're from/in the UK?
Sheer dumb luck. I used to work nights so I'd finish work, get home at 6am and have absolutely nothing to do. I'd throw on the tv channel that used to air the games and Washington was playing one morning. Didn't think much of it, until a few weeks later when I got a copy of NHL07 which also had Ovechkin on the front cover. Decided they'd do and I think I got very lucky with that pick.
The last few seasons haven't been fantastic, but I got on board just as Backstrom came into the team and it's been a pretty good run since then.
Well I'd say you picked a decent team. Caps are second for me after the Rangers, so...not a terrible choice haha.
I know exactly how you feel. My team's games usually don't even start until 9 or 9:30 in my time zone, which means I'm up until almost 1 AM. And then I have to work early the next day. It's brutal.
Stupid time zones.
I feel this. You know where I'm normally at, and I'll say I love the early starts except when work goes long. Games for my team normally start at 18:00 or 18:30 at the latest if they're in-conference. Now to go grab lunch at 09:00 like a normal degenerate.
