The plane manufacturer said it would add additional inspections, including at the supplier of a panel that blew off during a recent Alaska Airlines flight.

Additional inspections? While a good thing, scarcity of inspections/inspectors was certainly not the root cause of the accident. Perhaps they are not publishing the actual root cause and corrective action publicly, but anytime a vendor blames an operator or just tacks on another layer of inspection....
