According to bg3 achievement stats about one in ten players have fucked this thing. Pretty impressive considering it's not possible until act 3, and only a third of players make it that far.

Ok I haven't played BG3 yet so maybe there's some context I'm missing, but aren't Mind Flayers asexual aberrations who reproduce through literal brain worms?

It's played as a joke with neither the PC or the mindflayer in question have any idea how mindflayers fuck. You get the option grasp one of the face tentacles and hope it's erogenous. That sorta thing.

He's (probably) not interested in the sex part and just want to make you trust him. If you have a falling out he'll reveal how he truly views you and it's really gross and manipulative.
You just have to call him a freak and he goes full incel and tells you how Duke Stelmane was basically his political meat puppet and you should be glad he's moved on to gaslighting and emotional manipulation

So about 30% of players who get the option to fuck the mindflayer take it? 3/10 people play until they get the option, and 1 of those 3 takes it.
