Haver isn't retiring though, he's just going to focus on longer form projects, which I'm sure everyone here will hate.
Yeah lol I was just joking that some of the people on this site have a big hate boner for long YT videos. Haver is making actual narrative films though that just happen to be on YT
Is Haver someone I should be interested in? I like long form videos (that I largely listen to, not watch)
Havers long form stuff are actual narrative films so you'd have to actually watch them.
His videos are good tho. Little formulaic but often pretty funny.
If they're talking about joel haver he's got a couple videos with a great bit where a reformed RPG villain gives therapy to other villains
If you’re familiar with any kind of YouTube skit channel, then it’s basically that, but usually more focus on the awkwardness of social situations with some absurdity to it. Maybe imagine Nathan Fielder mixed with Donald Glover’s magical realism.
I like most of them. I thought it was weird when he had like 6 videos about cr1tikal but everything else was good.
He wants to put out a feature length film every month, he's ramping up.
Wasn’t that his shift in focus last time? To move around and film what he considered more personal and thoughtful stuff. But it seemed like he just filmed the same type of skits lol. But tbf I wasn’t too in tune with his releases so idk if they were just side content during that era.
