I don't think I've played any of the games in this series. What's everybody's opinion on them and are you getting this one?

I liked the original game these games were based off of (Donkey Kong ‘94 on gameboy), but what I remember of the Mario vs DK games on GBA was that it focused too much on the mario toys and wasn’t really as fun as DK ‘94.

Only the first mario vs DK was on GBA and it didn't focus too much on the mini marios. You're thinking of the DS ones. The games are fun but they're much closer to puzzle platformers than the original DK.
