I don't think that's leftists in general honestly that's really a Hexbear thing. I don't really know why but HB really seems to have primarily retained people who don't have friends and smoke weed and play video games. This is the only left space I've seen where if you suggest it's your responsibility as a leftist to organize in person with real people you get called ableist.

For me it's not socializing with my neighbors much, other than some short small talk as we pass each other on the street. Though I do feel like a hypocrite when I talk about community solidarity when I barely know the people who literally live next door to me. Social anxiety is a motherfucker.
