I would dearly love to see Trudeau fulfill his biggest broken promise, and introduce meaningful electoral reform, right before stepping down. The NDP and Greens would obviously support it, but likely so would the Bloc; while the CPC would have a collective apoplexy.

Poilievre and his goons would win a minority in the next election, and be hampered from doing any real harm to the country. He'd probably last about 18 months in power.

After that, we'd have half a dozen new parties formed, and never see a majority government again. Parties would be forced to work together and compromise to get any work done.

Oh, me too. I'm just imagining a beautiful, iconic, legendary end to Trudeau's term. He could go down in history beside Tommy Douglas, but I'm almost certain he won't.
