Lemmy at least allows one to edit one’s posts & comments. One thing I’ll do is ~~cross out my errant text~~ and include something about how I was wrong.

I try to do the same, and also leave a comment praising people for reconsidering a position, and other forms of showing empathy regardless of how much I may have disagreed with any argument made.
