Don't get me wrong both are 10/10 games to me, but I guess I prefer the atmosphere of the demon souls remake to elden ring.

I didn't see this remake getting as much as love as elden ring and I think elden ring kind of overshadowed it.

I think it still has the most beautiful graphics of any Souls game to date as well.

Elden ring was a great experience but I have no desire to ever go back and play again whereas demon souls remake and original I have replayed countless times and will continue doing so.

I think demons didn't get as much fanfare because it was already quite a niche game but it also suffers from being quite archaic which can be a significant barrier for people unfamiliar with demons.

It was also exclusive to a console which at that point was really hard to buy because of scalpers.

True, somehow I completely forgot that happened

Elden Ring was amazing. It's just so massive it requires a real commitment to a playthrough. I don't think I plan on touching it again until the DLC drops.

Elden Ring is fun to go back to if you do like a seamless co-op randomized run. Trying to get that set up with friends and finish a run before the DLC comes out
