Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Ok so round them all up for the threats. We're starting to run out of identified insurrectionalist let's start sending these fucks to jail too. There is no way they don't know who they are if 30 seconds of torrenting can lead to emails sent directly to me calling for me to stop if I forget my VPN. Those idiots don't even know what VPN stands for.
Get a VPN with split tunneling , always on, and start on boot. Pair that with qbittorrent, which has a setting in the options to allow you to only use the VPN network. No more having to remember with that setup. Traffic won't flow until the VPN connection is established, then torrent traffic will only go over the VPN, and the split tunnel means your regular traffic can remain off the VPN if you want.
And that's a solid piece of advice. I'm going to look into that ...
Yeah you don’t even need to do the whole split VPN thing - unless you want to, that does seem kinda cool. You can just tether your bit torrent to only work when your VPN client connection is active. I’m new at this and was super easy to set up.

Some VPN softwares like Nord can assign white or black lists for the VPN.
What's a good split tunnel VPN with high bandwidth for torrenting goodness?
I've had good results with both Nord and Proton but if you're going to pay for it I'd suggest proton because of the other benefits you get access to. If you want 'the most anonymous' then mullvad is the way to go, but I can't say whether or not torrenting on mullvad is effective as I've not done that.

And yeah, just for anyone wondering. This is a violation of 18 USC § 875(d). Literally saying that about judges carrying out their duties is an actual violation of Federal law punishable by about a year in prison for first offense. Not to mention that it can be construed as obstruction of justice (if you live within the State), which carries it's own penalties.
