Even this fucking musical episode is hitting on real shit. What the hell?
Ok I'm finding the truth of trek here. It has to be a satire, but one presented without a hint of irony and entirely sentiment.
It's a sappy satire. Oh also sexy (tension-wise). Without that, vibes are off.
Good luck recreating it. They somehow did it here.
Truly great sci-fi is usually social commentary on the real world. And often low-key satirical on the more ridiculous aspects of the real world.
