Debt: The First 5,000 Years is a book by anthropologist David Graeber published in 2011. It explores the historical relationship of debt with social institutions such as barter, marriage, friendship, slavery, law, religion, war and government. (about 400 pages)
I've always wanted to read it
Literally started this yesterday.
Didn't we already book club this three years ago?
Edit: yeah we did
I really enjoyed Bullshit Jobs by Graeber. I'll have to re-read it since its been 2 or 3 years since I read it.
