I don't really understand how Remedy does narrative, visuals, acting, music, vibe and everything so damn perfectly and the gameplay is either mid or SUCKS HARD.

I really do feel like they would be better off making movies.

All the silly collectable bits feel like they exist only to pad the game out, completelt ruin the pacing and are disonant from the urgency presented in the narrative. The open maps were absolutely not needed either in the saga story, I did enjoy it a fair bit in the wake story though. The option to switch between storylines i still don't understand what the point was since it feels like its made to be played one specific way and the choice is just confusing.

It tried to be more survival horror but also massively missed the point. When survival horror is just running past generic enemy number 3000 its not that entertaining. It doesn't seem to understand the sheer stress of trying to negotiate around a licker down a narrow corridor thats slowly plodding towards you while you hear THOMP THOMP THOMP of boots closing in making the mental calculations of what resources you can spend on the fight. Resi 2 remake really was the pinnacle of survival horror for me.

Maybe one day they'll make a gameplay loop that doesn't feel like poo

I wouldn't have minded the repeating enemies in control if the combat didn't boil down to just use telekinesis. Also the coloured drops for upgrades was just so dull to manage leaving me in the inventory screen for way too long.

The gun should have been powerful. All modes should have been useful so i could do more than telekinesis throw over and over.

Quantum break is probably the least offensive gameplay. Third person cover shooter with some actually useful and cool abilities to make the combat a bit more dynamic. I actually enjoy it a fair bit
