I ended up watching a playthrough too, once I got a little too bored with the police-procedural aspect. I'm glad it's as popular as it is though, since as you say, it's a good way to spread those ideas. Games have really been under utilized in that regard.
If you like shooting nazis, then I would highly recommend checking out Wolfenstein: The New Order if you haven't played it already. The depth that game had was a real shocker for me. Surprisingly competent little story combined with some fantastic shooting mechanics and even some optional stealth tactics. I played it shortly after watching the first season of Man in The High Castle, which ended up being the perfect pairing ๐
I've seen some lets play, and I would definitely jam with B.J. Blazkowicz if I had a modern console or gaming PC. I'm a sucker for alt history stuff, and the characters are so cool.
