MODERATORS

An easy pick for me but it captures the last decade so well. Lincoln looking at the noose/halo is what sends this one over from being just a funny picture into being genuine art. It should be in a gallery. It should be in the entryway to the White House.

Feel like this exemplifies the pre-trump 2010s best

completely unacceptable that there are so many words in this picture and none of them are "SWAG" or "YOLO."

Yeah, that's a pretty good summary of the 2000 and late period

[–] sooper_dooper_roofer@hexbear.net 13 points 2 years ago

It evolved from Ed Hardy shirts in the 2000s to the party rock aesthetic in the early 2010s

please stop, don't remind me of this

edit: damn now I'm missing drinking vodka down by the train tracks and walking around my suburban hellhole in shutter shades not a care in the world. Trump? Gamergate? Covid? Dawg, get your mind straight, we're going to the project x party tonight.

I love that LMFAO made one album called "Party Rock", another called "Sorry for Party Rocking", and then just disappeared off the face of the Earth.

I could have sworn it was some kind of social experiment. Both members of the band were related to each other, and to people high up in the music industry. I think the entire point was to show how easy it is to get a hit song if you have the right industry connections.
