So is automated offsides only for the knockout stages? I don't see why it shouldn't be in place for the group stage as well

It is semi-auto, maybe they just didn't bother showing the imagery since it started with a ref offside call.

I've seen part of twitter moan about it tbf. Small but definitely exists, and also probably people who don't know the rules lol

Honestly that's part of why I want automated offsides, so we can focus on what the refs are fucking up -the subjective calls

have found the actual reason (i think). Kiwior is the one who receives and scores it. But Gabriel interferes with play and therefore still offside, but semiauto will track Kiwior.
