The IPS display for my x220 is in the mail so I'm getting it ready with my first encrypted setup of arch.

Nice. Do you encrypt for fun or do you have a specific reason for it? I never really get why people do it. The archwiki even links to the XKCD comic about encryption in the warning section xd

haha didn't realize it had that comic till now. I guess the one and only reason is if I lose the laptop somewhere or if someone finds it it's just a brick to them. Otherwise, yes, I have nothing on there that I would would let someone break my legs over. Another added benefit is if I die in a freak accident my wife can't check my browser history.

In case of losing it makes sense, I just assume I'll ever lose a big laptop.
