I am looking into getting a wall charger for my electric vehicle and have been looking at the one Tesla has. It’s fairly cheap compared to others, but I’m wondering if there’s any good integration with HA?

  • Can I see how many kWh the car has charged?
  • What about controlling when to charge or not?
  • Lastly can I decrease the amount being charged fx if I only wanna charge with excess solar?

Don’t have one but searching the home assistant integration page it appears to expose every monitoring and several sensors. So you should be able to track total energy use.

The page does not elaborate on all the details however
