As
as these selections are:
Wales: They have a dragon on their flag, that's pretty cool.
Canada: The leaf should in theory invoke some sense of respect for nature (even though Canada emits more GHG per capita than the Great Satan. Although I will give Quebec and the Maritime provinces some props for not being the reason for the high per capita emissions)
Now for some imperial-periphery ones.
Cuba: What the US flag should have been. Not too busy, not too minimalist
China (totally not biased): Nice allude to both the soviet union and also the red and yellow are essentially the chinese equivalent of Purple for Roman emperors.
Bhutan: They also do the objectively correct thing and put a dragon on their flag
Ghana: Anti-colonial vibes with the flag, and also the grandmother of Ian-Jones Quartley designed it so I think that's pretty cool (O.K KO deserved better fuck you HBO max)
Mexico:
but with an eagle. Eagles are cool.
No love for Malta's tiny dragon? Not even an honorable mention?
