To a certain extent this is true, but less so a political ideology and more "Isolated person who is terminally online" which happens to have a 1-1 overlap with both communists and fascists.
Let's be honest, well-adjusted people are not playing HellTaker and DDLC despite them being very good games. Most people play FO:NV once or twice and think it's pretty good. They don't install 500+ mods to try to escape from the meaninglessness of existing in a society in which you can neither influence nor find comfort in. It's just an unfortunate shared characteristic between us the far-right wing.
If most people on Hexbear had a safe existence, happy childhood, and meaningful social life then they would not be here.
Come to think of it, yeah.
I cannot believe I was ever actually afraid of these people. Maybe they're only a threat because they outnumber us by the millions (never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups), but individually they're losers. Even the stereotypical right-wing bodybuilder, I have a cousin that fits the bill but he's your run of the mill republican rather than an outright fash.
