For decades, people have worn their Rolex Submarieners with a suit on formal occasions. Just because it's a slightly more expensive mechanical watch doesn't mean it's formally appropriate. The only place I would allow a Submariner with a suit would be an upscale buffet on a cruise ship. But nobody really bothers with that. And it's the same if you wear an AW Ultra to a wedding.
