I was wondering if 72% isopropyl alcohol, also containing a little bit of benzalkonium chloride, would be ok to clean thermal paste with.

My main concern being any residue that could be left from this solvant.

Any advice on whether i should use this or not would be great 🙂

It will be ok. It might take a little longer to dry. If you have a blower or canned air it will help dry things out.

If you are super paranoid, let the case sit open overnight before repasting.
