Hey everyone I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I’m a student currently about to finish my bachelors and move onto medical school. I’ve had a MacBook Air 2015 that died last week. I’ve been looking for options to replace it and I was wondering if it would be better to buy the 2020 air with more ram and SSD or the 2022 entry model M2. More than anything I want durability and efficiency not sure what would make the most sense Thanks

Get 16Gb of RAM and 512Mb at a minimum. The base model either slows down or runs out of storage. If you can find the money get an M3 pro MBP model for dual external monitor support. You'll need more than a tiny laptop screen when staring at complex drawings and graphs.

Alright budget is a bit of an issue for a pro, would you say better to go for the 2020 m1 with more ram and storage ?

Go with the M1
