I usually say it's not the people that's the problem, it's the government, but in Israel maybe Israelis are just a little unfriendly to their captives.

Idk, I feel like if you look at places like Nazi Germany and Apartheid South Africa, there's definitely a big portion of "the people" who are absolutely the problem.

I'm trying to mute my language, but yeah that's certainly the case; I've said it before but Israelis feel like a snapshot of Europe circa 1930's, with all the fascist sentiments that brings with it.

The Israeli project was born out of the same colonial projects that brought us WW2. They try and make it seem like it exists as some concession after the war, but Israel was being built at the same time as Hitler was coming to power.
