This is a most excellent place for technology news and articles.
In terms of country I don't understand what they are lagging for. They seem to be able to be the first renewable powered continent ffs.
Large desert for solar and Noone will care. Same as windmills on land.. easy peasy.. but in stead they have robber barons digging for coal and dredging their coral reefs.
So much of our economy is export driven. Particularly to China and particularly coal. Sad.
Yes true. And it's not as if it can export it's abundance of power to close neighbors.. still a pity
There are some ambitious plans to export solar power directly as electricity from the NT to Singapore and Indonesia.
