This is beyond frustrating. It's like Joe is actively trying to lose his bid for re-election. It is so fucking insulting that the American people are being forced to choose between accepting this neo-liberal chicanery or effectively ending democracy.

I hate that every argument I have against what he's doing makes me come off as an antisemitic douche but it REALLY seems like our government isn't in control of what they're doing.

edit: to clarify, I'm not talking about the anti-genocide arguments, I don't need to make those because they're clear. What hold does Israel have over us that we have to get in the middle of this when they should easily be able to handle it, and how in the hell does it have bi-partisan support when few people in the US on either side seem to support it.

“I don’t want the response to horrific things to be more horrific things inflicted on those who have no control of these events.”

That seems pretty cut and dry..

I mean that to be a bit deeper.

We (the US) tend to stick our dicks in places when there's some clear advantage or disadvantage to not doing it. We're usually cock-blocking communist advances or looking to control natural resources.

It's one thing to say you're going in because this event happened or that event happened, but it's pretty damned clear that this is Israel trying to kill off what's left of Palestine. Why are we so deep into this?

Who is we and deep into what?

I simply responded to your statement that you couldn’t think of a way to express the position without sounding as if you were against another people.

It feels very very simple.

The actions of those who cause harm to innocent people are deplorable. Those who order such actions or commit them, should be held accountable. I don’t have to say any proper nouns or even make it specific to this conflict to express that.

To clarify, why is the US is so deep into Israel's attempt to wipe out Palestine.
