With how close summer is, here's your yearly reminder that if you live near any kind of bushland, make sure you have an emergency pack you can take with you in a hurry, even if you live in a city, particularly the outer suburbs. The WA Department of Fire and Emergency Services site is very comprehensive for this kind of information. It also provides links to this emergency map tool which shows all areas with emergency notices and recommendations on how to proceed.
