Messages scroll backward out of nowhere (alien.top)

Lately, on iOS 17 (the last few versions), when I get a text and click the notification or navigate to the message, it jumps back several days or weeks to old messages. And then you have to scroll back to your current messages. If you even notice it in the first place.

Anyone else notice this? Happens in other messaging apps as well.

This has happened to me but not in the main messages section— it will scroll up a few days within a message chain with an individual. I haven’t noticed it happening in the last week or two though and not sure why it ever happened to begin with
