Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Do places like China and Cuba have better spaces for young people and people in general to hang out?

This is a very real problem that I am reminded of whenever I get the "touch grass" reply from someone on the internet.

Where?

Until I move out in a few days, the situation around me for quite a few years has been no meaningful public commons areas, businesses that expect you to buy something to so much as stand anywhere near them, and police roaming around harassing and tormenting homeless people. doomer

EXACTLY! There is no place for people to see each other. Even places of worship aren't places you can go outside of their operating hours (in most cases). I don't know about you but every single "community center" i know have has been bulldozed or flipped. There is no place to kick it, or place to be seen kicking it to begin the process of socialization. Maxxing and relaxing is core to meeting people, and there no places where people can rest in public. There ain't even malls and markets to bump into people. It sucks man
