Having watched other QBs while Fields was hurt, I think he continues to show he’s a capable starter in this league on the cusp of being a franchise QB.
He throws as good of a deep ball as anyone else. That DJM TD was a beauty into double coverage and that Tyler Scott drop should’ve sealed the game. Put MHJ on that fade route instead of Scott and it’s a win. He’s as dynamic a runner as any QB not named Lamar. That 30 yard run on 3rd and 15 is a game changer.
He obviously takes long to throw, but that’s just who he is. He’s not a cousins / tlaw / purdy type of pocket passer. He’s a dynamic QB like Lamar, Hurts.
This coaching staff needs to go. If we decide to roll with Fields again, bring in a creative offensive minded coach who can use his abilities to our advantage. We should be able to give DCs headaches with Fields skillset.
