Alarms sound in theatre focus??? (alien.top)

I went to the theatre, and at the beginning they reminded us to silence our phones. Theatre Focus Until I Leave This Location should be just what I need, right?

Wrong! My twice-a-week evening “water the plants” evening alarm sounded loudly in the middle of the performance! What the hell is the point of theatre mode if it’s not appropriate to use in a theatre???

More broadly, it appears that nothing actually masks alarms. Do Not Disturb also lets them through, as does the “Silent Mode” switch on the side showing the red background.

Is there any way to actually get a silent phone including all alarms, not just notifications?

The point of do not disturb is to not be disturbed by unexpected notifications. An alarm you set and want to go off is not an unexpected notification…
