This was very much a question in Jesus's time. Rather being a king who threw out the Romans and ensured a kingdom of Zion as some wanted Him to be. Jesus by His sacrifice broke down the distinction between Jews and gentiles and spoke of the kingdom of God which would be for all peoples of the earth
Peter being instructed by vision to eat with gentiles would definitely be a rejection of zionist political ideas
Jesus and especially the apostle Paul make it very clear that racial supremacy and ethnostates are not what Christ called for. (Since then of course Christians have decided screw Jesus and the apostle Paul they would actually rather rob, kill and enslave people).
