Problem with image quality on Netflix (alien.top)

I’m using ATV 4k 2nd Gen and my problem is that Netflix has a very low bitrate (bad image quality) on some shows. (ie latest season of Sex Education)

Its connected with Gbit Ethernet on a BenQ HD projector, with Onkyo A/V receiver in the middle.

I have a 4k subscription and set the quality in user settings on the Netflix website to “high”.

All other streaming apps (Prime, Disney, Youtube…) work fine with normal image quality.

I already tried different Hdmi cables and also connected it directly to the projector. Same problem.

Only when I connect it to a 4K TV, the bitrate and image quality on Netflix is fine.

Also tested it with my phones hotspot to see, if it’s a problem with my internet service. Same problem here.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I find that shows and sometimes movies will start at a very low bitrate, then I can skip forward and back a few times and it will sort itself out. Very frustrating. Wired connection, 1gbps internet connection - only an issue on my ATV 4Ks.
