Can't get displaylink on macbook air to recognize external monitors (alien.top)

I have the Dell WD19S docking station and just purchased a macbook air. Downloaded displaylink but it doesn't recognize my 2nd monitor, it just puts it into mirroring mode. Also, sometimes when I unplug one of the monitor cables and plug it back in, it turns my main widescreen monitor into a lower resolution and doesn't go full widescreen. Are there any extra drivers I need to download? I assumed displaylink would work right away but I might be missing in download/step somewhere.

I'm connecting to the docking station with a usb-c directly to the macbook. From the docking station, I have two display ports running to each monitor with an HDMI.

Is the WD19S a DisplayLink dock? I don’t see it mentioned on the product page and Dell’s list of their DisplayLink docks doesn’t list it either (only D1000, D3100, D6000, and UD22):
