I am in the market for a new MacBook to replace my old 2017 13” Pro. Based on budget, I have been looking into the M2 air and the 15” interests me a lot. I always felt the screen on my 13” pro was a little small, and I rarely take it out of the house so portability isn’t too important.

I am fortunate enough to have an employer who provides an Apple EPP scheme so Macs are generally 6% off. However, Apple recently started delaying the availability of the discount post-launch (whereas it used to be available day one). I am aware new iPhone models can take nearly a year to be eligible for discounts, but Macs I’m not so sure about and think it might only be a few months - the M2 mini is available for discount and that was less than a year ago. The 15” is still “new” on the Apple website and thus the discount is not available.

Does anybody know how long it takes before new Macs become available on EPP? It has been quite a few months since the 15” launch so I’m wondering whether it might be soon. Should I wait or not?

I would go for the 14 inch m3 or look for an older one but if the 15 inch appeals to you I think you should get it

I ended up getting an Apple refurbished model which came at a good discount
