A bunch of very wealthy people are behind on it because it doesn't make them money.
I know billionaires are deeply unpopular here, but I would support anyone who can fix this problem to become infinitely wealthy and live like a god.
The problem is that while green energy and technology are profitable, they don’t tend to be easily monopolized as easily as thier competitors. If your used to a monopoly where you can name your price and the government will bow becuse think of the gas prices, and equal playing field is a terrifying possibility. I mean if billion people die becuse of your product that’s inconvenient, but losing that sort of power, that’s terrifying, and these people are used to spending a bit of money to make terrifying go away.
