This is exactly why I think, as a non bears fan, it’s best for Bears to move on from Fields. I do think if Fields balls out you maybe reconsider it, but the advantage of the rookie QB deal is monumental. Plus the cap space & draft picks you have available. The turnaround the Bears can have if they hit on the QB & find better coaching can be very quick, and I don’t see that turnaround happening with Fields. I could be wrong, I was wrong about Jalen Hurts.
But for me I think best course for you guys is take either Williams or Maye at 1, and the other 1 if in the top 10 range should be MHJ, the tackle from Penn St, or a trade down.
Bears are probably the most fascinating team for me this offseason.
